Our construction bamboo plywood is a high-performance engineered panel specifically designed for various construction projects, integrating the natural strength of bamboo with the durability of wood materials. It is widely applied in cast-in-situ concrete works, such as housing buildings, bridges, viaducts, dams, tunnels and subways, as well as for container flooring, packing boxes and construction formwork supports. The panel is made by laminating thin bamboo strips and wood veneers, bonded under high pressure with high-quality adhesives to ensure structural stability and long-term usability. It features a smooth and glossy surface that reduces concrete adhesion, making formwork removal easier and improving construction efficiency. Available in natural and carbonized colors, the product can be sawed, nailed and processed with standard woodworking tools, adapting to different construction needs and reducing the number of supporting formworks effectively.
The construction bamboo plywood adopts high-quality bamboo and wood raw materials, processed through strict drying, pressing and bonding procedures to meet industry standards. The standard size is 1220mm × 2440mm, with thickness options ranging from 8mm to 20mm; custom sizes can be provided according to project requirements. The moisture content is controlled at ≤ 10% to avoid warping, cracking or shrinking caused by humidity changes during use. The density of the panel is between 0.65 g/cm³ and 0.90 g/cm³, ensuring good load-bearing capacity and impact resistance. We use phenolic glue or E0/E1 grade low-VOC adhesives, which have strong bonding strength (≥ 0.80 N/mm²) and good water resistance, complying with TSCA Title VI and CARB Phase 2 formaldehyde emission standards. The panel also meets FSC and ISO 9001 certifications, ensuring reliable quality and environmental compliance.
Compared with traditional wood plywood and steel formwork, our construction bamboo plywood offers practical advantages for construction projects. It has a good strength-to-weight ratio, being stronger than ordinary wood plywood while lighter than steel formwork, which reduces labor intensity during transportation and installation. The smooth surface ensures a high-quality finish of concrete surfaces, reducing the need for post-construction polishing and saving time and labor costs. The panel has good water resistance and can maintain stability even in humid construction environments, with a service life that supports multiple reuses when used correctly. As a renewable material, bamboo grows quickly (reaching maturity in 3-5 years) and regrows naturally after harvesting, helping reduce deforestation and lower the carbon footprint of construction projects. It also has low thermal conductivity, which is beneficial for thermal insulation during winter construction, and is resistant to corrosion and moth-eating, extending its service life further.
